No one may sign you up before the 215th day after the money is handed to the state.

Steps
Go to treasury.ms.gov and search your last name
Click Claim on property in your name
Send the claim with copies of the required documents
If the owner died and the estate is closed, each heir files a separate claim
Documents
Photo ID
Social Security card or a document showing your SSN
Name-change papers if your name changed
For a deceased owner: death certificate plus will, obituary, or notarized Affidavit of Death and Heirship
